One day while performing at the LaBonte Hotel in Douglas WY, a man who had become our friend over the years, also became the Wyoming State Representative, and it just so happened that he was also the owner of the Hotel. Well, to make a long story longer, Dave asks me if we would like to play for a lunching the next day for the Governor of Wyoming Mr. Jim Geringer, and we said yes. (Of course) As it turned out it all went very well, and we had a very nice time. Afterwards the Governor introduced himself to us and ask if we would like a photo with him. This was a very special memory for all of us. Only one other time in all of our travel’s we were asked to play & sing at an event anywhere near the political arena. And that was when we played on the top steps of the Michigan State Capital for approx. 3000 excited folks on a wet and rainy day. This too was a lot of fun. We had several great musicians and singers from Charlotte, MI with us that day. Which reminds me: These same musician, friends and singers, climbed aboard our school bus and drove up to West Branch a short while later to play at the Ogemaw County Fair. So many good memories, surrounded by so many really good people and a lot of great music. Just wanted to say thank you to each of you, for making our lives so much better. Your friend for life…. Randy
